Trade McTradeface
The
US has always been a major trader in the world thanks to the capitalist beliefs
and standing that most of the Presidents have had. Trade has always been a
major factor in foreign policy decisions made through the years, and this is
the case even today.
The first inters for the US has to do with what they see
valuable. If there is a country in the middle of no where that fifers nothing,
but wants to buy a lot of materials, then the US would find these nations very
valuable. They might seek to exploit weaker nations to achieve their goals. We
see this a lot in under developed nations, but another way is creating good
trade with Asian and European nations. Not only can these help the economy, but
help with building close ties with those nations.
I do not believe the US is trying to create a greater world
order, but to satisfy local and state interests. The US has always thought
about satisfying the nations own goals, and the US has no need for a greater
world order in my opinion. Maybe the US is trying to create a larger world
order through trade, but it does not seem likely especially with the stances of
a lot of politicians who value grade as it is. Theoretically we could be trying
to create a world order, but that would require quite the scheme, and I just do
not see that happening.
The US always has been one of the world leaders in trade,
even in our isolationist years we did have some trade, albeit limited. Many may
think that the US is trying to create a world order of trade, but in reality
the US is just doing what it always does and tries to get the best out of trade
top make a profit and satisfy state interests.
